Tips before replacement

#1 Most Traxxas vehicles that come with the 2075 servo tend to be top-heavy This makes going to a faster speed servo tricky for it might make the vehicle too twitchy(turns too quick). (stock speed – 6.0V: 0.17 sec/60°)

#2 also, Traxxas vehicles that come with the 2075 servo tend to be light in weight, This makes going to a higher torque servo most likely not needed unless you added weight or bigger tires. (stock torque – 6.0V: 125.00 oz-in (9.00 kg-cm)

#3 if you want to use your stock servo horn, the Traxxas servo output spline count is 25T (tooth). if you don’t use a servo with a 25T spline count you will need to change your stock servo horn.

#4 Most Traxxas (ESC) electronic speed control has a 6-volt (BEC) Battery Elimination Circuit (aka voltage regulator). so you need a servo that runs in that range voltage.

#5 The servo in this post falls under the categories above and should be a direct replacement for the Traxxas 2075…

  • Only Analog servo on the list
  • + Being an Analog servo it has lower Hz, uses less power, less noise, less overall stress, less heat, and should make the servo last longer. think of it like low Hz on a TV.
  • – Being an Analog servo, it does not hold positions as well, not as smooth, slower response time, larger dead zone.
  • +/- overall Analog servos are not as good, but they can be better in some situations. Ex. if the servo is being pushed on for a long time, like in slow-speed rock crawling, a Digital servo would fight better to keep straight (working harder) using more power and likely overheat faster over an Analog servo.
