Front-toe might not have as much of an effect as rear-toe. but it still has a big impact on how your vehicle drives around the track.
Front toe-out
- Increase steering response
- Increase steering entry “off-power”
- helps a slow servo
- a bit easier to drive off-road or low grip
- more stable on-power “out of the turn”
Front toe-in
- makes the car less twitchy
- Increase steering exit “on-power”
- slows down a fast servo
- a bit easier to drive on-road or high grip
- more stable off-power
- more stable on the straight away
Note: In low grip like off-road racing, the range should most likely be around .5 to 3 of front toe-out. In high grip or on-road should most likely be around -.5 to 1 toe-out (-.5 is .5 toe-in). Like rear toe the more you add the more power is needed – mostly equal lower top speed.
