In the video, I demonstrated cutting vinyl decals using a standard razor blade. While this method works, using a hobby or X-Acto blade would be a better choice for this kind of precise work. Hobby knives are specifically designed for detailed cutting tasks like vinyl decals – they offer a more comfortable, pen-like grip and greater control, allowing you to follow curves and intricate shapes much more easily than with a basic razor blade The sharp, fine-pointed edge of a hobby or X-Acto blade makes it ideal for clean, accurate cuts and reduces the risk of tearing the vinyl or slipping and damaging your RC body
Additionally, hobby blades are available in various shapes and sizes for different applications, and some even feature ceramic edges that stay sharp longer and are safer to handle. If you’re planning to cut decals regularly or want the best results, upgrading to a hobby or X-Acto knife is highly recommended.
