Front Diff
Red!!! = Most important to (Front Diff)
Thinner oil
- More off-power steering!!!
- Less on-power steering.
- Less forward traction.
Thicker oil
- Less off-power steering.
- More on-power steering!!!
- More forward traction.
Tip #1 Usually thicker is better unless you need more off-power steering. (More for on-power tuning)!!!
Center Diff
Blue!!! = Most important to (Center Diff)
Thinner oil
- More off-power steering.
- Less forward traction.
- More power to the front.
- Better in bumps.
- Easier to drive!!!
Thicker oil
- More on-power steering.
- More acceleration!!!
Tip #2 Overall thinner oil in the center makes the front end pull the car more. For this, it’s easier to drive on-power but at the cost of overall acceleration. So you want to make it as thick as possible without making the car too hard to drive. (More of an on-power adjustment)!!!
Rear Diff
Green!!! = Most important to (Rear Diff)
Thinner oil
- More off-power steering!!!
- Less on-power steering.
- Less forward traction.
Thicker oil
- Less off-power steering!!!
- More on-power steering.
- More foward traction.
Tip #3 In this case, you will find thinner oil is better overall by helping the car turn off-power. But if you go too thin the rear-end might spin out off-power and not want to turn on-power. (More of an off-power adjustment)!!!
Tip #4 In most cases, you will want the front differential oil to be thicker than the rear differential oil and your center differential oil to be thickest.
