EcoPower “Electron 44 AC”
(Best Overall)
The reason for this is at #1… Is an ok brand (Eco Power) meaning they will have some type of support and try to hold up to their name.
It can charge a 4s lipo at 4amps (50 watts) hard to beat for the money. “It just fills all the spots to just make it in at #1“
- 2-4S Lipo
- 100-240 Volt
- LiPo/LiFe/LiHV 1A/2A/3A/4A (50W max)

SUPULSE LiPo (B3-V2)
(Best Price)
#2 on the list is here “mainly for it being dirt cheap“. This charger will get you through the day but at 800mAh will be a bit slow (but safe) at charging up your LiPos.
“IMO” 2A is the best lowest rate to charge LiPo at and this charger is 2.5x lower than recommended… but hey it will work and at a super cheap price.
Note: (25w) is 2A – (10w) is 800mAh
Recommend (25W) !!!
- 2-3S Lipo
- AC110-240V
- Balance Charger
- 3A (25W)

Manual for B3 or B3V2 Charger… amazon.com
EcoPower “Electron Li32 AC”
(Best Price in Name Brand)
#3 This is basically the weaker brother of #1. The cost is really not that much lower to pick it over #1…
But it is a “lower price and does hit my 2A mark of the minimum recommendation” – so if you are only charging 2-3s LiPo it will work fine.

HTRC C150
(Best in Performance)
#4 on the list is the most powerful and with a digital display readout!!! This is a bit of an off-brand like #2 but this is on the list for “it offers the most features for the price“.
I also highly recommend a charger that gives you a readout of what the LiPo is doing (just ensures everything is working right) But it comes at a price IMO being an off-brand and the highest price on the list keeps it from ranking #1.
- 1-6S Lipo
- Digital Display Readout
- Lilon/LiPo/LiFe/LiHV/NiCd
- Balance Charger
- 1-10A (150W)

Manual for HTRC C150… cdn.shopify.com
Spektrum RC S150
(Best Name Brand)
#5 is the “Biggest name on the list with the best support“. It’s basically a higher-priced version of #1 on the list.
Really if I was going with Spektrum I would at minimum get one with an LED display like the Spektrum S155 on Amazon.
- 2-4S LiPo
- LiPo/Lilon/LiHV/LiFe/NiMH
- 5A (50W)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the ideal charging rate for a LiPo battery?
The Rule of Thumb is to charge 1 amp for every 1000mAh. (example) if you have a 4500mAh battery – you should charge at 4.5 amps.
At this rate, it will take 1 hour to charge the battery at 0%. Usually, it’s closer to 50 minutes if you already have some charge in the battery.
If you have a high C-rated battery you can get away with charging at a higher rate. But keep in mind there is no magic number here.
source quadifyrc.com for the numbers below…
- 1500mah battery x 30C = 45,000mA = 45 Amps maximum continuous output.
- 1500mah battery x 60C = 90,000mA = 90 Amps maximum continuous output.
- 3000mah battery x 30C = 90,000mA = 90 Amps maximum continuous output
As you can see (1500mah battery x 60C) and (3000mah battery x 30C) have the same output. This means that both of these numbers should be able to charge at the same amp rate.
Remember that charging at a lower amp than advised is safer for the battery, but you should consider if the extra time is worth it. (example) If your RC rig uses a lot of burst amps, the rig is doing the majority of the damage to your battery, and charging at a lower amp isn’t worth as much in extending battery life.
What are the best battery chargers?
(For RC) Currently, the best charger you can buy comes from (ProTek RC). They are a trusted brand by pro racers around the world.

The number of cells you wish to charge and the desired amp rate are the two main requirements.
For example, charging a 4s LiPo with a 2s charger will not work. However, charging a 2s LiPo with a 4s charger will most likely work.
Any charger will work with the required amp rate, however, if you charge a 5000mAh Lipo at .1 amp, you’ll be charging all day. My minimum requirement is 2 amps (2A), however, if you have a 5000mAh battery, you should be closer to 5 amps (5A) for your maximum charge rate.
