#1 Hot Racing Axial SCX24 050 High Torque
This is most likely the best replacement for the SCX24. It’s the bigger size motor so it will have more overall power. The motor is also on the lower side of turns (66T) which gives it a bit more speed. The drawback to this is it will get less run time and might run a bit warm.

#3 INJORA RC Motor II 050 66T
The INJORA RC Motor II 050 66T is more of an off-brand copy of the top two motors above. In some cases, they are better motors and often easier to find – sometimes these are the actual manufacturer company of the more branded ones. In any case, you usually get a better deal on the cost with a bit of short cut on detail. For example, this comes with the mounting plate and costs less – so you’re less likely the need to buy extra parts or mod.

#4 Dynamite Motor with Pinion SCX24 DYNS1217
With the DYNS1217 there is not much to say. This is the direct replacement to get the SCX24 working in stock form. It’s #4 for you will get more joy out of upgrading.

#5 Furitek SCX24 Chameleon Brushed
The Furitek SCX24 Chameleon might be the one you want if you’re trying to run 3s. On 2s it’s going to be a bit slower than the top 3. You might need to upgrade the stock ESC if running on 3s lipo.

What size motor does a SCX24 have?
The Axial SCX24 stock motor size is 030. However, most of the time, you’ll want to upgrade to the longer 050 motor to get more bottom-end torque.
All the suggested motors on this post are excellent swaps for the factory ones. To obtain the extra performance, most of them are the bigger 050.
What are the best upgrades for the Axial SCX24?
Reducing the Center of Gravity (CoG) is one of the most effective upgrades for the Axial SCX24. Most of the time, you will be adding weight to the bottom to accomplish this.
The second tier of upgrades will consist of increasing grip, as in the case of tires. also upgrading the stock motor to gain more bottom-end power

Which Mini truck is better, the SCX24 or the TRX4m?
Compared to the SCX24, the TRX4m performs better out of the box. The majority of this is due to the larger scale of the TRX4m (1/18) vs (1/24) of the SCX24.
Additionally, the TRX4m has more reliable components. It’s not that the TRX4m is made of high-quality components; rather, the SCX24’s stock servos and motors are prone to failing. (the TRX4m also has a bigger battery out of the box – for longer run times)
