What Battery for Traxxas TRX-4

The commonly used battery is a 2s lipo but you can run a 3s lipo. To get the most performance I would recommend running 2s shorty lipo (if you want to keep the car light) or 3s shorty lipo (if you want more power). With a crawling or trail truck, you really don’t need a high c rating. Also, you don’t need a high mAh to get longer run times. Suggested batty #1 OVONIC 3s Lipo Battery 35C 2200mAh (if running 3s), #2 OVONIC 2S Lipo Battery 35C 2200mAh (if running 2s), #3 if you want crazy long run times OVONIC 2s Lipo Battery 50C 5200mAh.

In stock from – on lowest power (2s lipo) around 5mph and on highest power (3s lipo) around 11mph. but modify you can get to speed over 50+ mph.

Is The Traxxas Trx-4 Waterproof

The Trx-4 is listed to be “fully waterproof” from the words of Traxxas. If I was to run it in deep water I would take a bit of extra measure. #1 Pack the gears with waterproof grease so they don’t rust #2 Waterproofing spray around the electronic. #3 A rust corrosion inhibitor spray for cleaning the car at the end of the day (regular WD40 will work).

Traxxas TRX-4 for Sale

The best deals are on eBay for both Used and New TRX-4. I usually go to eBay if I’m trying to snipe a deal on used RC cars. I bought 3 cars at auction – sold one and basically got my money back (two free cars). The problem with eBay is you need to know what you are buying to get a good deal.

Amazon is a great way to find ok deals (not the best) but you get it fast and most people have an Amazon account so it’s easy. Usually, manufacturers have their discounts on Amazon. Note: eBay does this too but you must find the other company that’s selling the manufacturer discount Vs Amazon most of the time is direct from the manufacturer.
