I Tried the TT-02 in 2WD

I wanted to see if I could get more drifting and sliding by turning the TT-02 into a 2WD car. I simply removed the driveshaft, leaving the front differential and wheels in place.

I also put much wider rear wheels on it from a 1/18 Monster Truck. The extra width gave the rear tires more bite and helped keep the car moving in my soft dirt.

A few things stood out:

Getting moving: This was the biggest problem. In soft dirt, the car would lose momentum and struggle to get back up to speed.
Once moving: It was okay once I got up to speed, but I had to keep the momentum going.
Wider rear tires: They made a noticeable difference and helped the car keep moving through the soft dirt.
Track surface: I think this setup would be much more fun on a harder, cleaner track.
Future setup: I’d like to try a more dedicated 2WD setup with a drift-style front end without the front differential for more steering angle and less drivetrain drag.

What I Learned: The stock TT-02 can run in 2WD, but it needs more changes to make the setup work well on soft dirt.
